Visions of love and hope as Ukrainian soldiers Leysa and Valeriy wed against the backdrop of war.

So many of you have written to us about Luke Jerram’s famous touring artwork ‘Museum of the Moon’. Catch it if you can. Thanks to Susan King for these awesome photos taken in Exeter Cathedral.

Her dreams were wylde and her heart was free.
Her thoughts were wylde and her mind was free.
Her hopes were wylde and her soul was free.
Be wylde, be free, be all you can be.

We love this Vogue cover of Naomi Campbell and her ‘biggest blessing’. Beautiful.

“Taras cries when he says farewell to his son Matviy. His wife Kristina has written a heart on the train door. Together with the couple’s other son, eight year old Ustyna, she is leaving for Poland. Taras is forced to stay behind.

No men between the age of 18 and 60 are allowed to leave the country. They are expected to fight the Russian invasion. The departing trains are packed, way beyond their limit, with women and children – leaving devastated fathers in their wake. Fathers that head for the frontlines.

Almost one million people, so far, have fled Ukraine and according to estimates from the UN the number can reach five million.” @paul_hansen64

We are so grateful to award-winning Swedish photojournalist, Paul Hansen for allowing us to share his work on our March Edition cover, to raise awareness of what is happening on the ground in Ukraine. As a staff photographer for the daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter, Paul covers events whether it is in Haiti, Bosnia, Afghanistan – or back home in Sweden, and there is always one common denominator that links his work together; empathy.

The world applauded the courage of 77 year old Yelena Ospiova a Russian protestor against the war in Ukraine. She was arrested for holding placards that included the message, ‘Soldier, drop your weapon and you will be a true hero.’ As a baby she had survived the Nazi siege of Leningrad.

I was so honoured to be part of this bank of female empowerment to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022.

She wore her yellow sun-bonnet,
She wore her greenest gown;
She turned to the south wind
And curtsied up and down.
She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
“Winter is dead.”

Already on the edge of our seats for the next episode of ‘Killing Eve’. How brilliant are Sandra Oh and Jodi Comer.

A spritz of spring and the scent of a candle lifted our spirits.

Chase Vodka, not only made in Britain but packaged in a special union jack tin. £38.

Pincer Botanical Vodka, made in Scotland with an infusion of Milk Thistle. The latter is said to help a hangover – could be useful! £24.99.

DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance.

Covid finally got me… thank you Nurse Bailey.

When Chester was having a wobble before bed, Bailey instinctively snuggled up alongside him and they both fell asleep.
