I’ve been on a Secret Santa hunt for my favourite 10 haircare products that would make great Christmas gifts and all come in at under £15. Any one of these beauties is guaranteed to bring a smile to your nearest and dearest – and their hair will love you for it!
1. Monday, Gentle Shampoo & Conditioner Duo, £10
I’m such a sucker when it comes to packaging, and just love having this set on display in my bathroom – the pink colour is just so pretty. As I happen to always wash my hair on a Monday (true fact!) – it’s a match made in heaven.
Formulation-wise, this duo is great for all hair types, as it cleans without stripping out moisture and allows the scalp to breathe. It also builds hair strength by feeding it with ingredients like Shea Butter and Hydrolysed Rice Protein to lock in goodness.
2. Umberto Giannini, Curl Style & Control Duo, £11.55
Having curly hair, I always like to make sure my curls look defined and bouncy, whilst banishing frizz and adding shine. If that sounds like you too, this is your product! It’s so simple to use, just squeeze some into the palms of your hands and scrunch into your hair. You can then either leave to air-dry or use a diffuser to add bounce.
3. Living Proof, Perfect Hair Day (PhD) 5-in-1 Styling Treatment, £16
We all want every day to be a perfect hair day, but let’s be realistic, your hair does need a little bit of attention when you wake up in the morning. If you want beautiful hair without needing to get the hairdryer out to smooth your style every day, adding this product to your hair after washing will help you to retain that smooth volume. It’s £1 over budget but SO worth it!
As my hair is both coloured and frizzy, I need my hairstyle to last after I’ve washed and styled it and really do find that this product helps me keep that polished look.
4. Amika, The Wizard Detangling Primer, £10
Once again, here’s a product with packaging that just makes me happy. It also happens to make my hair happy, so that’s a double bubble bonus! I find that spraying this product on wet hair before styling it not only detangles, but acts as a heat protector too. This would make the perfect Secret Santa gift.
5. Davines, NOUNOU Nourishing Repair Hair Mask, £10.50
This hyper-hydrating mask is full of goodness like Olive Butter to soften, Jojoba Oil to give shine, Cherry Oil to hydrate and Rhizobian Gum to add natural body – so what’s not to love! I love a hair treatment and if you can try to apply a mask like this as part of your hair routine (leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing thoroughly) about twice a week, you’ll start to notice a real difference.
6. Revolution Haircare, Plex 10 Bond Restore Lamellar Water, £10
This product is a great way to get shine and protein into your hair without it taking up too much time or money! Powered by plants, the protein system is fortified with Phytantriol and Provitamin B5, for shinier, softer hair.
Apply to wet hair after shampooing and allow it to sink in. Then rinse and condition as normal. I like this product as it really does give me that glossy look once I’ve blow dried my hair.
7. Curlsmith, Bond Curl Rehab Salve, £10
A pre-shampoo treatment is another brilliant way to give your hair goodness-feeding protein to strengthen the hair bonds. I love this treatment as it makes my hair feel full of life when I use it. It can be used on any hair type – straight or curly.
8. Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish , £10.40
This product adds weightless volume and gives your hair the vavavoom it craves. You can use this on any type of hair, at any time of the day. I love to use it on freshly blow-dried hair to give the hair great hold and extra volume.
9. Neal’s Yard, Rosemary & Cedarwood Hair Treatment, £10
This is a little pot of goodness is to make our hair feel appreciated. Not only does it smell delicious, but it totally delivers. I use this treatment overnight on my dry hair for an intense treatment. It is ideal for stressed hair that has been weakened by age, over-styling and colouring.
10. ASOS Glitter Hairband, £8
This is the closest hairband for the budget I could find that’s like the one Holly’s wearing in the picture. Sparkle your way through December into Christmas!
