Beltane is alive with momentum. Things feel brighter, bolder, more expressive. You may find yourself more social, more confident, more willing to say yes — or suddenly aware of where joy has been quietly missing.
This is the season of desire. Creative, romantic, playful. It’s an invitation to engage with life again rather than hold back. To follow what lights you up and trust that impulse entirely.
A Simple Beltane Ritual for Home
In the old traditions, great bonfires were lit at dusk. Flowers were gathered. Doors were decorated with hawthorn and yellow blooms to welcome the season in.
You don’t need a bonfire. Just a candle, an open window and five quiet minutes.
- Light your candle at dusk on the 1st of May.
- Open a window – just a little – and let the outside air in.
- Notice what you can smell. Grass. Blossom. Rain. Earth waking up.
- Set one intention for the season ahead. Not a goal. Not a plan. Just one thing you want to call in – growth, joy, courage, love, abundance. Say it aloud if you can.
- Let the candle burn for a while. Watch the flame. Feel the shift.
Beltane doesn’t ask for perfection. Just presence.
Energy grows where attention goes.
Ask yourself: what makes me feel more alive right now?
