You’ve been busy. We know. There’s always something; always noise, always a next thing, always a reason to keep moving and not quite stop. And in all of that motion, there’s a voice that keeps getting drowned out. Not silenced. Just… unheard.
It’s been patient. Remarkably so. It doesn’t shout or demand or make itself difficult to live with. It simply waits; in the quiet before sleep, in the pause between one thing and the next, in the moments when the noise drops just low enough for something real to surface.
This is what it’s been trying to say.
You’re more tired than you’re admitting
Not just physically. Somewhere deeper. The kind of tired that comes from spending a long time being everything to everyone and not quite enough to yourself. You’ve been managing it well. You always do. But managing isn’t the same as healing, and your body has been keeping score even when your mind decided to move on.
It’s okay to say you’re tired. It’s okay to stop performing fine.
That thing you keep almost doing? Do it
You know the one. The idea that arrives and then gets quietly talked out of before it has a chance to breathe. The conversation you keep meaning to have. The direction you keep feeling pulled towards and then deciding isn’t practical, isn’t the right time, isn’t quite sensible enough to take seriously.
It keeps coming back because it belongs to you. Things that aren’t meant for you don’t keep coming back.
The life you’re waiting for permission to live is yours already
Nobody is coming to tell you it’s okay to want what you want. To rest without guilt. To take up space without apology. To prioritise yourself without explaining it to anyone. The permission you’ve been waiting for doesn’t exist outside of you.
It never did.
Some of what you’re carrying isn’t yours
You picked it up somewhere along the way; someone else’s expectation, someone else’s version of who you should be, a standard you never actually set for yourself but have been trying to meet ever since. It’s heavy because it was never designed to fit you.
You’re allowed to put it down.
The people who matter can feel when you’re not really there
Not as a criticism. As an invitation. Because the version of you that’s present, rested, and actually in the room is so much more than the version running on empty that shows up but isn’t quite there. You don’t need to do more. You need to arrive more fully in what you’re already doing.
You don’t need to earn rest, love, or your place in any room
These were never conditional. Not really. The conditions were invented; by a world that benefits from you believing you haven’t quite done enough yet. You have. You are. Exactly as you are, right now, in this moment; you are enough.
The thing you’re afraid of isn’t failure. It’s being seen
Truly, fully seen; trying, wanting, reaching for something that matters to you and having someone witness that. That vulnerability is the thing underneath the procrastination and the waiting and the not-quite-starting. And it’s also, when you’re ready, the way through.
You already know the answer
To the question you’ve been circling. The decision you keep deferring. The thing you’ve been asking everyone else’s opinion about when the only opinion that ultimately matters is your own. You’ve known for a while. You’re just waiting to feel brave enough to trust it.
You are brave enough.
You always were.
That’s what it’s been trying to tell you. 🌙
